[Community Event] Zoot Suit Riot! America 1920s Event!
Have you ever thought that Organization XIII is a lot like a Prohibition Era gang or that the characters would do great with swing dance in their lives?
Then good news folks, because it Community Wide Event Time! The first of its kind here at connected-memories, and we’ll be having a swing dancing, rip-roaring 20s, bootlegging, gun slinging, mob boss-ing good time!
So, start thinking of what your character would be like if they were in the American 1920s setting. Would they be a mobster? A cop? Or, ladies, are you perhaps a waitress at a Speakeasy, or lindy-hop extraordinaire?
One thing that you need to keep in mind, though, is that we’re going to be HISTORICALLY ACCURATE with this AU. So replace your keyblades with your tommy guns! Bust out your wing tip shoes, flapper dresses, and spats, because we’re going full out! With this criteria in mind, we ask that you guys carefully think about what your character would be able to do during this time period, given their ages and genders. Remember, women didn’t have much power (they had only JUST gotten the vote), and while teenagers would be in the workforce, they can’t be mob bosses at 16.
So, once you’re figured out a nice niche for your character, please send a message to the mod account so that we can keep everything organized and fun for us all! You can also send questions about where your character can fit in there, because some of your fellow RP friends may already have an idea they want you to get in on.
But here’s a simple breakdown of what we’ve got so far to help get started:
Mob Families:
Xemnas, mob boss in control of the alcohol flow in the city, operates under a high class restaurant
-Demyx, musician/rum runner
-Roxas, engaged to Namine to form alliance
-Xion, a waitress in Xemnas’s resturant.
-Zexion, booker
-Master Xehanort, retired mobster and Xemnas’ father
-Yuffie, undercover informant serving as a bartender and playing in Demyx’s band.
- Shiki, seamstress/singer
-Axel, racketeer
Luxord, mob boss in control of the gambling of the city, operates under a casino
-Namine, daughter of mob boss
-Xigbar, bodyguard to Namine
-Squall, undercover cop
-Sora, apprentice
-Lexaeus
-Xaldin
-Kairi’s niche for the group 1920s event will be that she got disowned by her parents for being with Sora (cause they disapprove of him) and then she decided to crossdress as a boy so she could get a newspaper boy job and got mixed up with the mob stuff with him.

Extra:
-Aqua, burlesque dancer and gun for hire
-Marluxia, works in Luxord’s gang but double crosses for Xemnas
-Sephiroth, FBI working on his own agenda. Nobody’s quite certain how to deal with him.
-Riku, a blind detective trying to bring down the entire underworld as well.
-Repliku, Riku’s twin (younger) brother who works with his brother. Sadly he’s a complete and total klutz, but he still believes he’s number 1.
